Soft Water

The water in Utah is extremely hard. What do we mean by hard? Hard water is a way of saying that the water in Utah is full of minerals. More specifically, calcium and magnesium. Water Softener

t deposits, that is hard water. Or maybe your dishes come out of the dishwasher cover in spots, that is hard water. Does your skin feel itchy and dry after taking a nice warm shower? That is from hard water.

The best solution to hard water is installing a water softener. Simply put, a water softener uses a process called “ion exchange” to remove the calcium and magnesium from the water. The benefits of soft water by far outweigh the cost. By removing the minerals from the water we are able to drastically increase the lifetime of your plumbing fixtures and appliances. Not only that, you are able to use less soap in the laundry, have cleaner dishes, and no longer have dry itchy skin after a nice warm shower.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions that you make have about soft water or water filtration. We would love to come and do a FREE test of your water to determine how to best take care of your plumbing system. 801-899-9431

Water Heater Replacement

How do you know when it is time to replace your water heater?

There are generally two for sure signs that it is time for a new water heater: 1)Your water heater has stopped heating the water. In some cases this can be repaired, but generally this means that it is time for your water heater to be replaced. 2)Your water heater has started to slowly leak from the tank. This is usually easily noticed from wet spots on the floor. Anytime your tank is leaking, the water heater needs to be replaced. Some of our customers choose to have their water heater replaced when they are more than 10 or 15 years old and still functioning properly, so that they do not have an emergency when the water heater quits working.

Why choose Llewellyn Plumbing for your water heater replacement?

With Llewellyn Plumbing, you can rest assured that you are getting top quality work by licensed, trained plumbers. You can also rest assured that you will be getting an honest, fair price. There are no hidden fees or extras that you will be charged. All of our water heater installations include everything you need, for a set price, for your water heater to meet all of the national and state plumbing code requirements.
